of Christ offered for salvation. Cain did not offer his sacrifice according to the rules, but he offered
the fruits of the earth.
-"By faith, Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice thanCain." Hebrews. 11:4. "And we
are justified by faith." Rom. 5:1.
-Where is Abelyour brother? The voice of God is still calling us; Where are our brothers? Do you
search for those who died in sin? or are you indifferent to them rejecting the blood of Jesus shed
for them? What is your responsibility towards your family and your colleagues who are far from
God?

Story Time
What are the names of Adam's sons?
Adam had two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain became a husbandman, Abel a shepherd. God blessed
the sheep and the land. In the course of time, Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the
ground, and Abel brought of the first lings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard
for Abel and his offering, but Cain and his offering He had no regard. So Cain was very angry and his
countenance fell. The Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen? If
you do well, will you not be accepted? and if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; its desire
is for you, but you must master it."
But Cain did not follow the Lord's advice. He seized the chance when Abel was out in the field.
At first he spoke to him gently then he rose up against him and killed him.
1. What was Cain's occupation?
2. What was Abel's occupation?

4. Whose sacrifice was accepted?

Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is your brother?" Cain said, "I do not know, am I my brother's
keeper?" The Lord asked him (and the Lord knows everything). "What have you done? The voice of
your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground. And now you are cursed from the ground... You
shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth. In toil you shall eat of it." Cain grieved and said, "A fugitive
and a wanderer? And whoever finds me shall slay me? Forgive me Lord." The Lord put a mark on Cain
lest any who came upon him shall kill him. Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt
in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
