Story Time
A long, long time ago, there was no world. There were no people or birds. There were no trees or flowers. Only God was there. Then, God made EVERYTHING there is.How did God do this?Let us see what the Bible say:At first it was very dark and water covered everything. So, God said, "Let there be light." And there was light! God made night and day.The next day God said, "Let there be a sky above." As soon as God said it, there was a blue sky and fresh air high above the water. On the third day, God put all the water into ponds and lakes and clouds and rivers and oceans. He put land between the water. Then God said, "Let plants grow on the dry land." Right away bushes and berries, oak trees and orange trees grew. Green grass filled the fields. Tall trees grew little leaves. Red roses smelled so sweet. On the fourth day, God said, "Let lights shine in the sky." Then sunshine warmed the world. The moon and stars shone at night. The next day, God worked again. He said, “Let fish fill the water. Let birds fill the air." At once, many big whales and tiny fish swam in the waters. Crabs walked on the bottom of the sea. Doves and ducks flew in the air. Owls sat high in the trees. Songs and sounds were all around. On the sixth day, God said, "Let animals walk on the land. "And there they were! Cows ate grass.Mice ran in the fields. Dogs and cats played. Rabbits hopped. Bears slept incaves. Monkeys climbed trees. Animals of all sizes lived in God's wonderful world.Last of all, God made Adam and Eve. God looked at the world. He had made such wonderful things. The biggest star was very good. The smallest ant was very good. God was pleased with the world He made. God said, "It is good. It is very, very good."
