05 - Obedience
Introduction:
Good things happen to us when we listen to God, our parents and our teachers. Teach the children about a very important word; obedience. Ask them if they know what the word obedience means? To listen and do what you are told without fighting or saying no and while being happy.
Lesson Outline:
Each year St. Mary and St. Joseph went to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration. It was a special time. When Jesus was twelve years old, something happened on this trip to Jerusalem. The Passover celebration had ended. The road was full of people. St. Mary and St. Joseph began walking home to Nazareth with their family and friends. They thought Jesus was with them, too. Later, St. Mary and St. Joseph looked for Jesus. They could not find Him, they searched and searched for Him. At last they found Him, He was in the temple talking with some elders. He was asking them questions, and they were asking Him questions, too. The elders were amazed at how much He understood. Jesus enjoyed talking with the elders about God, He knew that God was His real Father. He was happy to share what He knew about God. But Jesus obeyed St. Mary and St. Joseph and Jesus went home with them.

Obedience is the very best way, to show that you believe
Doing exactly what the Lord commands, doing it happily.
Action is the key, do it immediately, joy you will receive.
Obedience is the very best way to show that you believe.
