Story Time

Jesus told us very good parables to use in our lives. The following parable is one of them. These parables explain that God gives use during our lives in the world certain talent or talents and He expected us to use them to benefit others.

The parable is talking about a man going on a trip (represent God) called his household servants (us) together and gave them some money to manage. One servant was given $5000. He immediately began doing business withit and he made another $5000. The second servant was given$2000. He also went right to work the same amount. The last servant received $1000. He dug a hole in the ground and hid the money for safekeeping!

After a long time, the master returned from his trip and called his servants to account for his money. He compliment and praised the two wise servants who had invested the moneyand received good returns. But he was very angry with the third servant who had simply hidden his money. He made the lazy servant to give his money to the first servant.

God rewards those who use His gifts wisely, but punishes those who do not.
