(4) Servant may start the lesson by discussing the following: What is the name of the first martyr in Christianity? What did he see before he was stoned?
(5) The servant may explain that the Lord Jesus Christ's sitting on the throne has been mentioned so that He may be perceived by our minds, but we know that the Lord fills all and is everywhere in Heaven, and onEarth. The students should also be told that the perpetual joys of the heavenly creatures and their hymns of praise is the share of the righteous and the holy.
(6) Teacher should prepare the appropriate questions to emphasize the objectives during the lesson.
Story Time
Peter was one of Christ's disciples. He preached about the Lord Christ openly in public and his shadow healed patients. Paul the apostle was not one of the twelve disciples. The Lord chose him to preach his name before kings and the kingdoms ofthe world who were pagans at that time. Many people received the faithand believed through Paul. St. Paul and St. Peter established many churchesinthe world but most of their work was done in Rome. The Emperor of Rome sentenced Peter and Paul to death. Peter’s request to be crucified with his head down was granted, and Paul was beheaded by the sword. They attained the crown of glory and went to the bosom of the saints.
Years went by and all the apostles died except John. The Roman Emperor arrested him and ordered that John should spend the rest of his life alone far away from his friends and acquaintances on the island of Patmos. The Lord did not leave John alone, but He appeared to him and revealed to him what was about to happen to the church and the world in the future. John wrote, inspired by the Holy Spirit, all that he saw in a book called Revelation. It is the last book in the Holy Bible.
The Lord showed John the Holy City, The New Jerusalem: Heaven. John saw a beautifully coloured door and two angels guarding it. The ground of Paradise was green and covered with bright colours. He saw the angels dressed in white and the sky was shining. He saw the place where Christ dwells and two rows of angels bowing in worship and shouting with praise saying "Holy, Holy, Holy..." He saw a magnificent throne made of gold on which Christ sat with very bright light surrounding Him. Twenty-four priests stood around Jesus. All the people there bowed and worshipped the Lord saying, "Holy, Holy, Holy". Angels surrounded the Lord singing praises.
John longed to enjoy what he saw. He longed to see the Lord coming again. He said, "Come, O Lord Jesus". "I'll come soon," the Lord answered. John replied, "Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus."
As for you, are you longing for His second coming? Lead a good Christian life to show that you are really waiting for the second coming of our Lord from Heaven.
