In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, One God, Amen

Lesson No. ( 33 )

References

John 21:1-14.

Notes for Servants

i Christ rose at dawn, during the sweetest and quietest hours of the night. The stars of the night were still shining, and dew was falling on the flowers and roses.

i We are pleased because Jesus’ body was put into a tomb in a garden, and because He was buried in the Spring season. This to remind us that just as spring follows the cold hard winter, also after the hard troubled life in the world comes a whole new beautiful, joyful life with Christ in His kingdom.

i Jesus, the Son of David, rose from the dead. The Lord's angels were around Him singing happily. Say the psalm: "This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it." May the joys of the feast of the Resurrection fill your heart.

Objectives

General: To rejoice and be glad in the Easter day.

(Luke 24:34 )

(5) Teacher should prepare the appropriate questions to emphasize the objectives during the lesson.

Story Time

In all the events of the Resurrection, concentrate on the happiness that filled the hearts of the women and the disciples so that the children may feel happy because of the resurrection of their Saviour and Redeemer. Also, they should be happy because of His power to rise from the dead and cause the earthquake. All these things should be mentioned to make the pupils stand firm in their faith and to emphasize the fact that God Almighty can do anything.

On their way to tell the disciples, Jesus appeared to the faithful women again, and they bowed down in worship to Him. They were very happy for Jesus’ Resurrection and hurried to inform the disciples. In the evening, Jesus appeared to His disciples in the upper room, though the doors and windows were shut.

Discussion

1 - Follow up the story by talking about it with the children.

2 - Continue the discussion while they do the activity.
