Story Time
One day when Jesus Christ entered into a certain village, he met ten lepers men(Explain the meaning
of leper), and they where not allowed to enter the town. They stood away from Him and lifted up their
voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. Nine of them were Jewish and the tenth was a
Samaritan (stranger). Jesus knew their illness (sickness) and then told them, "Go and show yourselves to
the priests".
Are they going to heal us? What does Jesus mean? Why did he not examine our needs? All these
questions came into their minds immediately, but they obeyed Jesus's words. On their way, after a few
steps, one of them stopped and asked his friend, "are you cleansed?" Another one said, "and you?", third
one said, "and you also?" One of them cried, "I am cleansed." At that time all of them knew that a
wonderful miracle had happened, all of them were cleansed. All of them were running in a hurry to meet
the priests and also their families and friends.
Suddenly, the Samaritan one stopped running and he turned back and glorified Jesus Christ. He
knew that it was Jesus that cleansed him and did this wonderful miracle. When he found him, he bowed
and lifted up his voice and he said, "Thank you God very much, you have cleansed me, I'm a sinner and
I do not deserve this healing. You are God's holy one, youare our Saviour", and all the people heard the
man. Jesus was so happy because this man turned back and gave thanks to God and He asked him,
"where are the rest? Where are the other nine?", the man said, "they went on their way, they were very
happy but they forgot to give thanks to God. Jesus looked at the Samaritan who was still bowing down
before him and he said to him, "go, your faith has saved you."
