Notes for Servants
- When David said the event of killing the lion and the bear, all the glory to God because without
God's help, he could not win this battle. May be David saw many similar battles this is why his faith
became stronger by practice, exactly like his muscles. By this way God trained him for the greatest

- Victory does not exist except with the power of God and full dependence on him.

David was a young happy shepherd, he always takes care of his father's sheep at Bethlehem.
David was wearing a nice coloured cloth and carrying a rod in his hand so that if one of the sheep go far
away he use it to bring the sheep back. He also, carry a sling and a lot of smooth stones in a small pocket.
David was a brave young man because he loved God very much and he knew that God is with him
all the time. David had a small flute, he played it with a nice piece of music about God, listening to the
birds and to the winds and says; who created the sky. While he was looking after the sheep he always sing
praising God. His famous song was “The Lord is my shepherd.”
One day while David kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb
from the flock. David went out after them and killed them both, and save the lamb out of their mouth.
David slew both the lion and the bear because God was with him and protected him.
