Notes for Servants
- Through baptism, we obtain salvation, purification, justification, death of our old man, renewal, and
membership in the body of Christ.
- You were buried with Christ in baptism, then you cannot take off your new spiritual body to put on the
body of sin again.
- Think how Jesus was meek to let John baptize him. Do you humble yourself before God who told us
to learn from Him whom is meek and humble?

Story Time
God sent John the Baptist to prepare the people of Israel for the coming of their Lord Jesus Christ.
John was baptizing at the river Jordan and saying, "repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." People
came to him repenting and confessing their sins, after that john baptized them in the river by immersion in water.
- Emphasize that baptism by immersion the person in the water, do not mention the difference
with other dominations.
Jesus came to John to be baptized, but John prevented him saying, "I have need to be baptized by you,
and you come to me?" Jesus answered saying, "allow it now because we should fulfil all righteousness."
Jesus was baptized by immersion and when He came out of the water, the heavens were opened and
the spirit of God descended like a dove upon him and a voice from heaven said, "this is my beloved son, in
whom I am well pleased."
- Explain to the children why this feast is called "The Revelation of God"because the Trinity of
God was manifested : God The Son is in the water, God The Holy Spirit coming down as a
dove, and the voice of God The Father is heard.
- Advise the children to attend a baptismal service, observe how it is done and participate in it.
