Once St. John was preaching in one of the cities, there was a young teenager who did not care for
anything but himself and how to enjoy his life. Whenhe heard St.John preaching he felt something strong
in his heart, he believed and was converted in that day and became a very good Christian.
Whenthe time came for St.John to move to another city he told the priest to look afterthat young
man and to take care of his spiritual life. St. John continued his travelling preaching everywhere until he
became veryold. One day he returned to this city to check on his flock and how they were doing in there
spiritual life. St. John did not see that man in the church so he asked the priest about him, the priest told
him ina sad voice that he returned back to his bad way, he became a thief and had a group of bad people
with him. St. John was sad over this news and cried saying " Where are you my beloved son", the priest
told himwhere he wasstaying but told St.John not to go there because he mayharmhim. St. John prayed
to God have mercy on this man and to help him to return the young man back to His way.
St. John as his master Jesus Christ he left the Ninety nine and went to look forthe lost sheep. He
forgot his old age and his health and went with the help of his stick to look for that man to return him to
Christ. He went searching for him until he found him, whenthe mansaw St.John coming to him, he knew
him and tried to run away from him.
St. John kept running after him begging him to have mercy on his old age, the manfeltsorryin his
heart and stopped and turned back to St. John and bowed to the ground and said "Father, I have sinned
would Jesus accept me back after all that I have done? St. John answered "yes myson, He will because
He loved you very much for you are his son too and he wants you back". The man confessed all his sins
