(1) Review last week's lesson.
(2) Remind the children about the church occasions for the coming week.
(3) Teacher should prepare the appropriate questions to emphasize the objectives during the lesson.
Story Time
Alive Again!
If Jesus saw someone who was sad or hurting, what would He Would He try to cheer them up or just leave them sad?
Jesus and His followers went to a city called Nain. There He saw a funeral. A young man had died. He was only son of a woman whose husband had died, too. All the people from the city were walking with the woman to comfort her.
When Jesus saw the sad woman, He felt very sorry for her. He said to her kindly, "Don't cry." Then He went the coffin and touched it. The men who were carrying the coffin stopped.
Jesus said the dead, "Young man, I tell you, get up!" At once the young man sat up then stand up and began to talk. He was live again!
Jesus made the young man who had died come back to life.
All the people were surprised. They began praising God. Soon everyone in the whole country had heard the news about Jesus' power.
Jesus was kind to the woman who was sad. He wants to teach us to be kind to other hurting people, too.
Discussion
1 - Follow up the story by talking about it with the children.
2 - Continue the discussion while they do the activity.
