Story Time
Philip was another disciple of Jesus. He was very happy to know Christ. He sat by Him and listened to His words. He watched Him while He healed the sick.
Who will be happy and successful, He who lives with Jesus, or He who does not live with Him? Philip said to himself: "I desire that all people should know Jesus and love Him so that they may be happy and glad."
Philip met one of his friends called Nathanael. He said to him: "I have something to tell you." They were sitting together under a fig tree, and Philip whispered to his friend: "I have seen Jesus the Saviour. He is sweet and wonderful. You have to come to see Him!" Nathanael asked him: "Where did you find Him?" He said, "He is from Nazareth." But Nathanael said, "I know that all the people of Nazareth are bad people. Jesus can not come from Nazareth." Philip said, "Come and see and you will believe my words."
(The children act the dialogue between Philip and Nathanael).
Nathanael saw Jesus and was astonished at his great appearance. When he came close to Him, Jesus said to him, "Come Nathanael!"
“You are a true Jew. How have you known me, Lord? How do you know me?" Jesus answered, "I saw you when you were under the fig tree, before Philip called you."
"How can you see through all this distance?" Nathanael worshipped Jesus; he bowed down to him and said, "My Lord and my God. You are the Son of God." He followed Jesus for all the time.
