Bible Verse

Teaching Aids
(1) Video.
(2) Felt figures and flannel board.
(3) You may prepare wings, white clothes, strong light, pictures of sheep, and a flute.
(4) You can make a manger out of a carton box.
Introduction
(1) Review last week's lesson.
(2) Remind the children about the church occasions for the coming week.
(3) Give an idea about the shepherds, how do they take good care of their sheep. how do they feed them, take them to different places (fields) to eat and play, protect them, when it is cold they warm them by burning wood. The sheep love their shepherd, they feel happy, and also sleep well when they are close to their shepherd.
(4) Appearance of many angels. There was great joy in the heaven when Jesus came for us, the angels came to tell the shepherds the good news. Suddenly there was a multitude of angels singing "Glory to God ..."
(5) It was great joy to see baby Jesus and offer gifts to Him.
Story Time
A long time ago, there was some good shepherds. Every morning they take their sheep to the fields where they eat and play. At night, the shepherds stay awake to protect their sheep. One night, while the shepherds were awake, they saw a shining light, they were scared ... an angel appear to them and told them, "Do not be afraid, I bring news of great joy to all the people", then the angel told them that the Saviour Jesus Christ the Lord was born, go fast to see him and be happy with us.
The shepherds were very happy, they asked the angel about the place where Jesus was born. the angle told them that the Son of God was born in Bethlehem. Suddenly a multitude of angels appeared praising the Lord and saying, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward men."
Then, the angel left them, the shepherds were very happy and they said, "Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened." They hurried off ... they found St. Mary, St. Joseph and the baby Jesus in the manger with the animals and they were happy it was the first Christmas; it was Jesus's birthday. The shepherds were so happy and praised the Lord for all the wonderful things they had seen and heard.
Discussion
1 - Follow up the story by talking about it with the children.
