In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, One God, Amen
Lesson No. ( 4 )
Jesus Heals an Infirm Man at Bethesda
References
John 5:1-15.
Notes for Servants
If Jesus has no authority over illness, he would not ask the sick person, "Do you want to be whole?"
Sometimes we like to be sick and we do not want to be healed. Sometimes we get used to being sick and we do not want any other way.
If the sick person felt in his heart should know that it was God who healed him, not the doctor or the medicine, he would be thankful to the Loving Lord.
If we have faith that Jesus is Almighty and the Shepherd of our lives, we would not be disturbed by illness because Jesus is our healer.

Story Time
In Jerusalem, by the sheep market, there was a pool called, in the Hebrew tongue, Bethesda, ‘having five porches.’ In these lay a great multitude of sick folk that was paralyzed, blind, and sick in some way, waiting for the moving of the water.
An angel would come down at a certain time into the pool and trouble the water. Whoever first stepped in after the water was troubled was made whole of whatever disease they had. There was a certain man, who had a sickness for thirty-eight years.
when Jesus saw him lying beside the pool. He knew that he had been here for a long time. He said to him, "Do you want to be made whole?" The sick man answered, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is troubled. Every time I try to go in, another steps down before me."
Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed, and walk." Immediately after Jesus said that the man was made whole, took up his bed and walked.
