Story Time

Jesus commanded His disciples to stayinJerusalemuntiltheyreceived the Holy Spirit. The twelve disciples, together with men and women, spent the day of Pentecost praying and waiting for the Holy Spirit.

Suddenly, a strong earthquake happened on that day. The wind was so strong and blew loudly. Then, tongues of fire came down from heaven and laid down on the house, where the disciples gathered. It divided into shapes as tongues and entered everyone, as a result of that every one of the disciples talked in different languages. It sat upon each of them and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues.

Jewish people from all over the world came to Jerusalem because their feast(the Jewishfifthfeast) comes fifty days after Easter. They call it Planting day and all the Jewish people offer some of their wheat to the temple. Many people were gathered around the home where the disciples were gathered, they were amazed at how the disciples from Galilee could speak different languages.
