The Lord Jesus ascended to heaven to prepare a place for each one of us. If we follow His way on earth we will be with Him in heaven.
Have you been thinking about your place in heaven, did you prepare yourself for it? We should not concentrate on worldly matters such as food, clothes, and outside appearance, but on helping the poor and the needy which will build a treasure for us in heaven.

Story Time
Jesus remained on earth for forty days after His resurrection, showing Himself to His disciples and to those who had loved HimduringHislife on earth. There were some among them who still did not dare to believe that He had returned. Then, when they saw Jesus with their own eyes, they fell on their knees and worshipped Him.
He had done everything that the prophets in the Old Testament said He would. He had brought light into the world and had won people back to God by dying for them on the cross. He had founded His kingdom. He had brought love and joy and peace into the world.
On the last day, Jesus led His disciples to a hill outside Jerusalem. He raised His arms and blessed them. Then He said, "All power on heaven and on earth has been given to Me. You must go now, and call new disciples to follow you from all the nations of the earth and baptize them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to do everything I have told you to do. And remember, I will always be with you, even to the end of the world."
As He said these words, a cloud came down from heaven and hid Him from their sight. The cloud became light and filled the sky, and the earth and covered everything on the earth with glory.
